Austria Enery is going to build the country's largest solar power project

The construction of Bulgaria Chirpan solar power plant will begin this year. The project capacity is 160 MW. The owner is the Austrian Enery Company. The project will be Bulgaria's largest solar power project.

The Austrian Corporation ENERY, by the control of Three Seas Initiative Investment Fund Fund, through the control of Amber Infrastic, the company operates one of the two largest photovoltaic facilities in Bulgaria.

In 2020, Enery purchased the 100 -hectare solar power park in Karadzhalovo near Plovdiv. The peak power of the project was 60.4 MW and the parallel power was 50 MW. Another solar power generation project, Pobeda, is located near the Black Sea coast, and has a comparable capacity.

If the license procedure is planned, the project can be started before the end of this year and completed within one year.

At the same time, Eurohold is anxious to complete a solar power plant with a peak capacity of 124 MW south of Sofia, and at the same time develop another 50 MW part.

Eurohold is about to surpass Enery, becoming the holder of Bulgaria's largest photovoltaic power plant. But this change may be temporary.

GAZDOV estimates that Chirpan has invested more than 102 million euros, and its exact amount and capacity will be announced after the document is completed. Chirpan is named after a town near the Stara Zagora area.

In 2020, Enery's 400 MW Solar Park project was initially approved by the Hascovo Municipal Government in southern Bulgaria.

Enery recently bought a renewable energy power plant with a total capacity of 81 MW at Romania.

ENER operates a photovoltaic, wind energy and hydropower plants with a total installed capacity of 268 MW in Bulgaria, Romania, the Republic of the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The company has another reserve project of about 3 GW.

In November, Enery completed the acquisition of Jade Power Trust's 81 MW investment portfolio in Romania. It is composed of two wind farms, two photovoltaic systems and two micro hydropower stations in the DOBROGEA area. Through this transaction, the Austrian company raised its operating capacity to 273 MW.
