Solar Battery

A solar battery is an optoelectronic semiconductor sheet that uses sunlight to generate electricity directly, also known as "solar chip" or "photovoltaic cell". As long as it is illuminated by a certain illumination condition, it can instantly output voltage and generate current when there is a loop. In physics, it is called solar photovoltaic (PV), or photovoltaic for short. A solar battery is a device that directly converts light energy into electrical energy through the photoelectric effect or photochemical effect. The crystalline silicon solar cells working with photovoltaic effect are the mainstream, while the implementation of solar cells with thin film cells working with photochemical effect is still in its infancy. Silicon solar batteries are generally made of P+/N type structure or N+/P type structure. P+ and N+ represent the conductivity type of the semiconductor material on the front side of the solar cell; N and P represent the conductivity type of the semiconductor material on the backside of the solar cell. The electrical properties of a solar cell are related to the properties of the semiconductor material used to make the cell.
