British energy developer Centrica Business Solutions will deploy a 50MW/100MWH battery energy storage system at a retired natural gas power plant in Lincoln County.
The company has cooperated with General Electric to start the deployment of battery energy storage projects in BRIGG County, and will deploy a battery energy storage system for the county's 43 land wind power fields.
The battery energy storage system will be provided by General Electric Corporation and will provide power grid support and energy services to ensure the stability of the grid and ensure that renewable energy is best used. This is CENTRICA's largest investment in energy storage deployment so far. The energy storage system will be put into operation by the end of 2023 and plans to operate for 25 years.
