On May 24, Britishvolt, an electric vehicle battery start-up, officially stated that it will acquire German battery developer and manufacturer EAS from Bulgarian company Monbat for 36 million euros to expand battery production.
Britishvolt said EAS' technology was well suited for its high-performance, long-range '46xx' battery cells.
It is understood that EAS is currently wholly owned by the Monbat Group and has more than 25 years of experience in the development and production of large-format cylindrical lithium-ion battery cells.
