From January to April, the global installed volume of electric vehicle power batteries reached 182.5GWh, a year-on-year increase of 49%

SNE Research, a new energy market research institution, has released its latest research report.

 

Data shows that from January to April 2023, the global battery ownership of electric vehicles (EVs, PHEVs, HEVs) was approximately 182.5 GWh, a year-on-year increase of 49.0%. CATL continued to dominate the list with a share exceeding 65Gwh, an increase of 55.6% year-on-year. BYD ultimately achieved a performance of 29.4Gwh, an increase of 108.3% year-on-year.

 

According to reports, the total market share of the three major companies in South Korea is 23.4%, a decrease of 2.8 percentage points compared to the same period last year, but there has been an increase in battery usage.

 

Among them, LG New Energy ranks third with an annual growth rate of 49.3% (25.7 GWh), SK On ranks fifth with a growth rate of 5.3% (9.5 GWh), and Samsung SDI ranks seventh with a growth rate of 28.4% (7.5 GWh).

 

Panasonic is the only Japanese company in the top 10 on the list, earning a total of 15.1GWh, a year-on-year increase of 35.9%.
