he British Smart Energy Corporation (IE) announced that it has signed an agreement with Hogreen Air.
The contract includes the initial order of fuel cell piles and components to assemble 100 100kW IE-Drive HD fuel cell systems. It is expected to begin in 2024.
HOGREEN established a new production facility in Gwangju, South Korea in September 2022 to prepare to improve its assembly capabilities.
In addition to the license agreement, Smart Energy, Hogreen, Guangzhou Guangduan City Government and the British Embassy in the UK signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to support the development of hydrogen fuel cells and create a hydrogen industry ecosystem.
The latest round of agreement is based on the partnership established in 2021. The partnership hopes to see smart energy, HOGREEN Air and Edison Motors expand the hydrogen fuel cell vehicle application market in South Korea.
Intelligeent Energy said South Korea is the company's key market, and high -power fuel cells are used for large -scale power generation, automobiles and other markets. Low -power fuel cells are used for drones and separation power generation.
During the period from 2020 to 2021, the sales of fuel cell vehicles increased by 80%to 15,000 units, of which 55%of the sales appeared in South Korea.
