In 2022, Poland added a new 4.9GW photovoltaic installation machine to become the third photovoltaic market in the European Union.
In the latest round of renewable energy bidding, Poland distributed about 486MW solar photovoltaic capacity. In the seven bids held by the plan, only three times were successfully completed.
Among the bidding held this month, more than 96%of the bid projects (197 of 204 projects) are solar projects. The bidding scheme received by 1MW and below bidding projects is the most, and the plan from 88 manufacturers brings a 150MW of winning solar capacity.
According to the recent market report of Solarpower EUROPE, Poland is the third largest solar photovoltaic installation country this year.
As part of the RepowerEu program, last week, European Investment Bank announced a plan for modernization of Polish and Czech distribution grids to promote more wide use of renewable energy.
