Indian state-owned company SJVN has won the solar energy tender held by Maharashtra State Power Generation Co.
SJVN was awarded the 105MW floating solar project in Maharashtra with the lowest bid of INR 3.93 (US $0.047)/KWH in a reverse auction held by the Maharashtra Power Generation Corporation.
SJVN will use a build-own-operate operating model to construct the project, with an estimated development cost of $87.9 million. The project is scheduled to be operational within 15 months from the date of signing the power purchase agreement.
