Lithium battery UPS power supply dry goods: WH and AH unit conversion method

Lithium battery UPS power supply dry goods: WH and AH unit conversion method. The unit of capacity of lithium battery is milliampere hour, ampere hour, watt hour. In layman's terms, the physical meaning of battery capacity refers to how much charge the battery can hold or release. I believe there are many friends who are not very clear about how to convert WH and AH. The editor of Cunneng Electric will explain to you about this method.

Lithium battery UPS power supply dry goods: WH and AH unit conversion method

WH refers to watt-hour, a unit of electric energy, and a unit of energy (work). It represents the energy consumed by an electrical appliance with a power of one watt after one hour of use. It is a quantity proportional to voltage, current, and time. .

AH is the unit of electrical equipment capacity, "Ampere-hour (AH)" is an indicator that reflects the size of the lithium battery's capacity, and its meaning is the time for discharging at a prescribed current.

The battery with the same voltage has a large capacity with a large ampere hour; the battery with the same ampere hour has a large capacity with a high voltage. The battery capacity is usually expressed by the voltage and the ampere hour, such as 12V/17AH, 12V/24AH, 12V/ 38AH, 12V/65AH, 12V/100AH.

Multiply the battery's voltage (volt) by the battery's AH number to get the result (unit: WH). Divide this result (WH value) by 1000 to get the KWH value.

The capacity of a lithium battery has two expressions: electric capacity (WH) and ampere-hour capacity (Ah); among them: 1WH = lithium battery voltage V * ampere hour capacity (Ah) = lithium battery voltage V * milliampere hour capacity (mAh) /1000; because 1mAh=0.001*.

WH is a unit of energy, and mAh is a unit of charge. The two dimensions are different, and there is no ratio relationship. mAh is usually used as an indicator of battery charging and discharging. It is an indicator proportional to the charging (discharging) current and time of the battery.

Take an example of our Cuneng Electric customer:

When a customer inquired about the UPS power supply of lithium battery storage, they asked about the output power ≥1500W; battery type lithium battery; battery capacity ≥1920WH lithium battery UPS power supply. Among them, the battery requirement is 1920WH, but the battery capacity marked by our UPS power supply is 48V voltage, and the AH number capacity can be selected, and the customer is confused.

In fact, it is very simple, WH is the unit of electricity (rated energy), rated energy (WH) = capacity (AH) multiplied by voltage (V). According to the customer's requirements, 1920WH is our standard lithium iron phosphate battery with a capacity of 40AH at a voltage of 48V. According to customer requirements, choose a UPS power supply host with a power greater than or equal to 2KVA1600W, and then match a lithium iron phosphate battery module with a capacity greater than or equal to 48V40AH to meet the requirements.

The above is the conversion method of WH and AH. Are you still confused between Ah and Wh? Learning to understand these signs is very practical! Hurry up and collect it~
