Locus releases a unique approach to multi-robot warehouse logistics management

Locus Robotics showcases new coordination between robots and humans with Locusone at MODEX2022

Lous Robotics CEO Rick Faulk is the keynote speaker at the upcoming Robotics Summit and Expo in Boston on May 10 and 11, 2022. ocus Robotics announced the Locus Vector and LOCUS Max at MODEX 2022, expanding The product line of its warehouse AMR. The robots themselves are not new, as they are a full-fledged autonomous mobile robot (AMR) solution room resulting from the acquisition of Waypoint robotics. However, with this announcement, Waypoint, the solution is now fully integrated into the Lous family, they have a new white paint scheme and newly revamped shell

The rebuilt Locus Vector retains the functional components and chassis of the original Waypoint Vector, but adds an updated skin and color scheme for a more consistent product look ocus Vector and Locus Max join the Locus origin (original Locusbot) robot to form the AMR Series, suitable for a wide range of warehouse use cases. The new product line addresses use cases ranging from e-commerce, case picking and pallet picking to scenarios requiring larger, heavier payloads to support the full range of product movement needs in today's fulfillment and distribution warehouses. Rick Faulk, CEO of ocus robotics, said: "With these new Locusbots, we are able to help our customers alleviate significant workforce challenges and achieve optimal productivity by using the right robots.

The Locus Max comes in an all-new white livery that matches the rest of the Locus robotics line and looks as good as the new line looks in a consistent color scheme, and Locus often customizes customer fleets with custom skins that incorporate customer colors or logos. DHL Supply Chain is one such customer

Adrian Kumar, Global Head of Supply Chain Operations Science and Analytics at DHL, said the multi-robot solution helps to continuously improve the productivity of employees around the world. This new line-up of robots — with different form factors all working as a coordinated fleet — sees us always assigning the right robot, even if our needs change dynamically throughout the workday. All fully integrated in Locusone is an intelligent multi-robot warehouse orchestration that provides predictable, efficient and scalable productivity and cost optimization for all product movement within the warehouse walls. The platform seamlessly centralizes and orchestrates dynamic multi-robot fleets, while also providing detailed, forward-looking and actionable business intelligence and reporting for efficient management and planning. The new product further expands the ability for LooCus customers to Operations add heavy-duty workflow to ocusbots' new line of products including ocus Origin - purpose-built to maximize warehouse efficiency, Login offers proven fulfillment productivity and flexible operability combined with the latest in navigation and vision system technology. It works collaboratively with employees in a dynamic warehouse environment easily and collaboratively with the ocus Vector - an industrial-grade AMR, with flexibility for a variety of roles from fulfillment to shipping to put-away. Locus Vet has omnidirectional mobility, compact design and strong payload tendon for use in any environment. Locus VI will start shipping to customers this summer

The Locus Max's heavyweight payload capacity and unmatched flexibility make it easy to transport a wide variety of heavy-duty materials, cartons or pallets across your facility. Locus Max is ideal for industrial and material handling applications. The Max, currently deployed at multiple sites, will offer limited availability in 2022, and all Locusbots will be offered through the company's turnkey Robotics-as-a-Service (RaaS) pricing model and can be added to existing and new workflows , enabling operations to dynamically scale and adapt to changing market demands.
