Requirements for Lithium Iron Phosphate Battery Chargers

Lithium Iron Phosphate Battery Charging Requirements

The charging method of lithium-ion battery is limited voltage and constant current, which is controlled by IC chip. The typical charging method is: firstly detect the voltage of the battery to be charged. If the voltage is lower than 3V, it must be pre-charged first. The charging current is set. 1/10 of the constant current, after the voltage rises to 3V, it enters the standard charging process. The standard charging process is: constant current charging with the set current, when the battery voltage rises to 4.20V, it is changed to constant voltage charging, and the charging voltage is kept at 4.20V. At this time, the charging current gradually decreases, and when the current decreases to 1/10 of the set charging current, the charging ends.

Regular use of lithium iron phosphate batteries, normal use and long-term placement to charge the battery pack regularly can ensure the best practical effect of the battery pack and prolong its service life.

When activated, the lithium-ion battery charger will supply the battery with a small current before charging, and at the same time detect the battery voltage change, and gradually increase the current until the set value. This process can be viewed as an activation or test charge.

When charging and discharging, the current of the charger and the general current load of the electrical appliance must be within the specified range. When using a lithium-ion battery charger, you should also pay attention to see if the charger is qualified.
