Recently, a large-scale battery energy storage project in Tesla's Texas Gigafactory has been approved by the city of Austin. The project will use commercial batteries called Megapack to power the production plant. Although the specific capacity has not been disclosed, the listed area of the project will be up to 53.27 acres.
It is understood that Tesla also hopes to use this energy storage project to cope with the changeable climate environment in Texas and ensure the stability of factory production.
With the gradual increase in the scale of single energy storage stations, the continuous increase in the newly installed capacity of electrochemical energy storage, and the continuous deepening of the mandatory allocation of energy storage on the power supply side and the deepening of power reform, the temperature control market for energy storage has accelerated.
