The world's first meta-robot has been built in China, ap reported.
In September 2021, the first metacosmic robot system jointly developed by China Chuangze Intelligent Robot Group and Britain's Bristol Robotics Laboratory (BRL), one of the largest robotics laboratories in Europe, made its debut in The Science park of Tsinghua University in China. Charlie Yang, a BRL professor and fellow of the British Computer Society, is leading the project. "We have integrated leading technologies such as digital twin, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), big data and cloud computing to create an ecological 'metasomes' in the field of intelligent robotics, which we believe is a breakthrough that connects us to the' metasomes'," he said proudly.
According to industry experts, the meta-universe technology pillar is divided into four levels: the bottom is holographic construction, the second is holographic simulation, the third is virtual world and real world integration, the top is virtual world and real world linkage.
Chuangze "meta-universe" robot system has realized the linkage between virtual world and real world at the top level. In this system, virtual robot and real robot are integrated and connected. In the real world, the physical robot can receive and execute the virtual commands of the virtual robot synchronously, and the status of the robot in the physical world will also be displayed in real time in the virtual world.
