Electric tools, laptops, and other small portable devices and electrical appliances are used to charge the battery of the product. The charger consists of a product shell, power conversion equipment, charging detection equipment, and charger protection from inside to outside.
Our mobile phones, electric cars, and notebook computers all use lithium batteries. This is one of the most commonly used batteries. Now let us and Bian Xiao understand the charging principle of this battery charger. The charging process is divided into four stages: trickle charging stage, constant current charging stage, constant voltage charging stage, and final charging stop stage. All are controlled by the battery charger.
The trickle charging phase means that when the battery charger is connected to the battery, the battery charger detects the internal voltage of the battery. If the voltage is low, the charger will automatically control the current into the battery. Now that the internal voltage of the battery is restored, it is the basis for entering the constant current charging stage.
The constant current charging stage means that when the internal voltage of the battery reaches the top of the trickle charge value of the battery charger, the battery charger opens the valve to allow more current to enter the battery, thereby increasing the charging speed. When the internal voltage of the battery reaches about 3V, the battery charger controls the current to enter the next charging stage.
The constant voltage charging stage means that when the charger detects that the internal voltage of the battery is close to saturation, it will step down to charge the battery. In this process, the battery charger should be adjusted according to the battery temperature and the trend of the battery's internal current, so that each battery of the battery is fully charged, and then gradually depressurized until it is completed.
The charging stop phase means that when the battery charger detects that the battery's internal voltage and current have reached their maximum capacity, it will automatically cut off the battery's power to protect the battery. Generally, the charging time of a lithium battery is about 3 hours.
