Will the future rely on robots to build cars? Tesla to develop 'Optimus Prime' to address labor shortages

Singapore's "Lianhe Zaobao" website recently reported that Tesla will focus on developing a humanoid robot called "Optimus" this year, aiming to build the world's first truly sentient robot.

According to reports, Tesla CEO Elon Musk told investors at the earnings conference where Tesla's business center is this year.

Musk said in a webcast of the earnings report that humanoid robots are very important to solve the labor shortage in the United States. Once developed, humanoid robots will be the first to be deployed in Tesla's own factories.

Musk also said: "Over time, the Optimus Prime humanoid robot may become more important to Tesla than its electric car business."

In a recent tweet, Musk claimed that his car company recently "made fun of" the humanoid robot "Optimus Prime" could play a role in the realization of artificial intelligence, suggesting that its technology may match or even surpass human intelligence.
