American mechanical and electrical products manufacturer Advanced Industries Ltd. plans to build a solar photovoltaic panel factory with an annual capacity of 200 megawatts in southern Oman.
j A few days ago, the manufacturer has signed an agreement with the Salalah Free Zone, where the production base will be established.
The factory covers an area of 10,000 square meters (11,960 square yards) and requires an investment of 29 million euros.
The construction of a solar panel production base in the Salalah Free Zone is strategic because of its proximity to the Port of Salalah, which has logistics and infrastructure services.
The project is expected to stimulate investment in solar manufacturing and diversify industrial investment in the Salalah Free Zone.
