As the scale of energy storage markets grows, British renewable energy developers Balance Power and Tag Energy have reached a partnership to plan to deploy, owns and operate the 500MW battery energy storage system throughout the UK.
In addition to cooperative deployment, the two companies will invest more than 300 million pounds in order to deploy these energy storage projects in four years.
When developing energy storage projects across the United Kingdom, the goal of these two companies is to improve the reliability of local renewable energy power generation and provide flexibility for the power grid. Tagnergy will become the main owners of these projects.
Reaching this partnership will also increase the investment portfolio of Tagenergy's current operation or in different development stages of battery storage projects in different development stages.
Balance Power has also signed a 300MW energy storage deployment contract, which has been delivered to a part of the project, and the 1GW energy storage project is currently developing.
Tagnergy signed a similar cooperation agreement with Harmony Energy to deploy two battery energy storage projects in England and Scotland.
As part of the joint venture between the two parties (JV), the two companies revealed the intention of developing an independent deployment of battery energy storage projects in Ludon and Abernesi, Southern England.
Battery energy storage projects deployed by these two companies will use Tesla's MegAPACK battery energy storage system and manage it through Tesla Autobidder AI income optimization software platform.
