Bosch Sensortec partners with SensiML to accelerate sensor AI development

SensiML, developer of AI tools for building smart Internet of Things (IoT) endpoints, announced support for AI/ML development on the Arduino Nicla Sense ME board for Bosch Sensortec sensors. This support allows developers to use the SensiML Analysis Toolkit to quickly and easily add local intelligence to IoT endpoint applications using any number of Bosch sensors with the latest boards in the Arduino pro line of products.

The Arduino Nicla Sense ME board is small and features a 64 MHz 32-bit Arm Cortex-M4 processor and Bosch motion, environmental, pressure, and magnetic sensors. Additional sensors can easily be added using the built-in SPI or I2C interface. The ultra-low power consumption and small size (less than one square inch) of the Nicla Sense ME board enables IoT developers to install complete smart endpoints at the sensing point for a variety of applications including smart home and building, consumer and sports Wearables and Industrial Automation.

SensiML's complete AI/ML development environment complements the board's development environment, enabling Bosch Sensortec sensor users to easily create low-power yet highly intelligent endpoints without the need for a large team of data scientists or previous AI expertise. The SensiML Analytics Toolkit, Arduino Nicla Sense ME board, and Bosch Sensortec sensors together create a complete end-to-end smart IoT endpoint solution.

Stefan Finkbeiner, CEO of Bosch Sensortec, said: "Smart, tiny, ultra-low power and autonomous IoT endpoints are the wave of the future. That's why we worked with Arduino on the Nicla Sense ME board and with SensiML to support this board and our The reason for the Sensortec sensors with sophisticated AI/AutoML development tools. Bosch Sensortec's ultra-low power and smart sensors, combined with the robust Arduino ecosystem and AutoML toolkit, are designed to shorten the time IoT developers will succeed at IoT endpoints Time for the solution to be integrated into the market.”

"Bosch sensors are very popular among IoT developers," said SensiML CEO Chris Rogers. "Now they can quickly and easily create smart IoT endpoints from Bosch Sensortec sensors using the new Arduino Nicla Sense ME board along with our SensiML analysis toolkit and various other development tools."
