British energy company launches feasibility study for 300 MW solar energy storage plant in Tete province, Mozambique

British Ncondezi Energy recently launched a feasibility study for a 300 MW solar energy storage power station project.


The project is located in the province of Tete, covering an area of 25,000 hectares, with a potential power generation capacity of 500 MW, an investment ranging from US$60 million to US$65 million, and an income of US$130 million to US$180 million over 25 years. It is expected to be as early as 2024 It was completed in 2019 and interconnected with Mozambique’s national grid, and reached a purchase and sale agreement with Mozambique and Southern Africa Power Pool Company.
