SDG & E company owned by California investors, SDG & E, recently completed a 40MW battery energy storage system deployment and began to build four micro -power grids built by 39MW energy storage systems.
The company announced on October 12 that it has begun to test the 40MW energy storage project deployed between San Diego and Los Angeles and Los Angeles, and began to build one of the four micro -grid projects. The company currently has 95MW energy storage assets and the 200MW energy storage system is under development.
The size of the Fallbrook battery energy storage system is 40MW/160MWH. The 4 -hour duration is a condition for providing electricity for public institutional companies (such as SDG & E companies) under sufficient resources. There is enough supply to meet the power needs. Once the test is completed, the battery energy storage project will enter the state's energy market.
The Elliott Micro Grid, located in San Diego, is the first micro -power grid in the four micro grids that is under construction, which will provide electricity services for some local communities. They are local fire stations 39, Tierassa Public Library (acting as a summer area during extreme heat waves), Tierassa Medical Center, Jean Fabu Middle School, Canyon High School, Tierassa Teta And Kumaya Primary School.
The latest data from the California Independent System Operator (CAISO) shows that as of October 1, 2022, the company had 4,367MW battery energy storage systems merged into the grid.
Large battery energy storage projects that have been completed and connected to the power grid include AES's 908MWH battery energy storage system, Nextera's 387MW battery energy storage system, and EDF's 200MW battery energy storage system deployed.
