CATL and AIWAYS signed a cooperation agreement on EVOGO battery swap project

Recently, CATL and AIWAYS signed a cooperation framework agreement on the EVOGO battery swap project to jointly create a new benchmark for battery swap models.


According to the cooperation agreement, the two parties will use AIWAYS U5, the first model of AIWAYS as the carrier, to jointly develop the combined battery swap version, which is planned to be launched in the market in the fourth quarter of 2022. AiWAYS owners who choose the combined battery swap version will enjoy the To the EVOGO battery swap service that separates vehicle power, on-demand power distribution, and can be charged and replaced. The project is operated by Times Electric Service, a wholly-owned subsidiary of CATL.


CATL and AIWAYS have been closely cooperating in technology, strategy and capital. Aiways said: "Aiways and CATL will achieve strong alliances in technology, resources, services and many other aspects to optimize the resources of both parties. At the same time, AIWAYS will be in the overseas market. The power exchange layout of the company is also under active preparation, and the combination of charging and exchanging will meet the diverse energy replenishment needs of global users to the greatest extent, and provide global users with the best energy replenishment experience."
