In response to this development trend, the leading real estate company Country Garden established Guangdong Bozhilin Robot Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Bozhilin") three years ago, focusing on the R&D, production and application of construction robots, BIM digitization and new building industrialized products , Opened up a new track in the high-tech field. .


   As of the end of October 2021, Bo Zhilin has submitted 3,422 valid patent applications and 1543 authorized; related research and development products have successively won China Patent Award, IF Design Award, Red Dot Award, Red Star Award, Golden Reed Award and many other awards. The company is researching 51 types of construction robots, most of which are commonly used in cast-in-place concrete technology and prefabricated building construction. It has formed 12 product lines of construction robots, including concrete construction, concrete finishing, bricklaying and plastering, and interior wall decoration.


   This year is the first year that Bozhilin construction robots have launched market applications. The person in charge of Bozhilin Robotics Research Institute and related project leaders shared with Hexun Real Estate the "mental journey" in this process.


   The "acceleration" of robot performance


   As of the end of October 2021, Bozhilin has already put 18 construction robots into commercial applications, covering nearly 120 projects in 18 provinces, and accumulatively applied construction exceeds 4.5 million square meters.


   From scratch, it will be able to make such a result in just a few years, allowing the outside world to see the "efficiency" outside of Country Garden's real estate business.


  The secret is summarized in two points by Yan Qifan, Dean of Bozhilin Institute of Basic Technology:


   First of all, talents come first. Bo Zhilin recruited many excellent people from all over the world and established a dedicated scientific research team, including talents in various fields such as artificial intelligence, digitalization, robotics, architecture, and civil engineering. There are over 2500 R&D talents, with an average age of only 30.7 years old;


  Secondly, core technology is indispensable. Bo Zhilin has now established a systematic R&D, manufacturing, and application system; there are 45 key components and basic shared technologies, targeting the eight core systems of construction robots (servo, sensor, navigation system, vision algorithm, robot management software, etc.) Full coverage of independent research and development has been achieved, among which technologies such as navigation, vision, and multi-machine scheduling have filled the gaps in the field of construction robots.


   Yan Qifan, who has transformed from a research institute to an enterprise, believes that it is a particularly meaningful thing to be engaged in the construction robot industry. Because it solves the industry pain points of construction workers doing dirty, tiring, and dangerous work.


   In fact, these pain points happen to be the three core elements focused on the research and development of Bozhilin construction robots: ensuring construction safety, improving construction quality, improving construction efficiency, and jointly promoting and improving the overall benefits of building construction. This is reflected in many aspects:


For example, the measuring robot has a work efficiency of 2 to 3 times that of manual labor, and the measurement accuracy is within ±1mm. The work efficiency and measurement accuracy are much better than manual; the concrete construction robot product line is composed of intelligent follow-up distributing machines and ground leveling and ground leveling. It is a combination of robots. Through linkage construction, the entire concrete team can be reduced from 12 to 8 people.


   Yan Qifan revealed that every robot of Bozhilin will first establish corporate standards for internal use, and then work with related companies and industry associations to formulate group standards. "There are currently more than 10 types of corporate standards, some of which have been released, and some are still in the process of being reported."


Regarding the future development direction of Bozhilin's construction robot, Yan Qifan imagined three goals: 100% full coverage; 24-hour uninterrupted construction; systematic construction, that is, not just to make a machine, but to build a set of universally applicable construction robots. system.

   Continuously improve through trial and error


   However, with the larger scale and more projects, how to ensure the applicability and applicability of robots in different projects is also the focus of the R&D team.


Chen Weilun, the person in charge of the Fengtong Garden project, focuses on the field of robot application construction. "We use human-machine collaboration to apply robots to the Foshan Fengtong Garden project to make it participate in the actual operation process; once found in the application process Questions will be reported back to the R&D team immediately to continuously improve the performance of the robot."


Due to the complex and changeable environment of the construction site, Chen Weilun introduced to Hexun that at the beginning of the actual operation, he will also encounter some difficulties and work efficiency is relatively low. Through continuous updates in the later period, such as optimizing the machine hardware structure, upgrading the software, etc., promote the robot upgrade iteration. . "It's like seeing the growth of my own child, so I feel a sense of accomplishment." At present, Bozhilin's R&D personnel are all testing in the standard apartment type of Country Garden. If they arrive at a new place, they need to get the drawings, deepen the drawings and BIM modeling, and re-plan the operation path to complete the automatic operation.


   BIM, the full name is Building Information Modeling, which translates as Building Information Modeling. Its main function is to establish an industrial Internet platform that runs through the entire life cycle of a building based on BIM digital technology. The biggest advantage of this platform is "getting through". After getting through, business and management can achieve synergy.


  What Bozhilin is doing is to establish a unified standardization system for the entire industry chain, open up the construction industry ecological chain, realize efficient coordination of industry chain businesses, and realize unified management of data from all parties.


  Smart construction makes the construction site safer


   A question that makes the public wonder: What is the difference between humans and robots? Let's take Bozhilin's pilot project as an example to illustrate this problem.


   In early February this year, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development issued the "Letter on Approving the Pilot Intelligent Construction", which determined 7 projects across the country to carry out the pilot intelligent construction, of which the Shunde Fengtong Garden project in Foshan was among them.


    This is the first commercial application project of Bozhilin construction robots, and it is also the only pilot project in China that truly introduces construction robots and applies them in batches in the engineering construction process. The Fengtong Garden project has carried out a number of pilot applications of construction robots, achieving the first completion of robots participating in the construction of the demonstration area, the first establishment of a robot dispatch center, and the first time running through the repairing robot construction mode.


   Chen Weilun feels deeply about the impact of the application of construction robots:


First, the site is better managed: used to be in charge of workers, now in charge of machines. The workers come from all over the world. Sometimes the farming season goes home to harvest wheat, which delays the construction period and has a greater impact on the site, but now the machines are different, and the machines only need Charge, you can work directly after charging.


Second, the danger is reduced: there will be many sources of danger in engineering operations. For example, paint dust generated by indoor spraying operations will cause greater damage to the health of workers. People were working in the gondola. When the work was stopped in a windy day, but occasionally when the wind blew, it would shake up, which was very dangerous. Now that the robot is used, people do not need to hang high to perform dangerous operations, which reduces the probability of accidents.


   Chen Weilun revealed that there is also a process of adaptation between humans and machines. But after fully adapting, it is found that the machine is still efficient, and the machine can take on the cumbersome and heavy work procedures, which greatly reduces the work intensity of the workers.

As for the construction robot track, few domestic companies have entered the game.
