Denmark Renewal Energy Company European Energy is ready to build a 128.5 MW solar power park in Sweden. The company stopped the project earlier this year, but later canceled the decision. The device is expected to start power generation in 2024.
The Danish project developer EUROPEAN ENERGY built a 128.5 MW solar power plant in SVEDberga outside the city of Helsins, Sweden. Once it is completed, this power plant will become the largest solar facilities in Sweden, and the annual power generation is 175 GWh. The park is expected to be completed in 2023 and has been generated from 2024.
The total area of SVEDBERGA solar power generation park is 232.5 hectares, of which about one -third of them are used in solar power generation. EUROPEAN ENERGY said that the remaining land can be used for agricultural planting. The company also plans to plant trees and shrubs around the park to strengthen biodiversity.
According to data released by Energimyndigheten, as of the end of December 2021, Sweden's operating photovoltaic capacity reached 1.59 GW, an increase of 1.09 GW compared to a year ago. These numbers show that 2021 is the best year of the country's solar deployment, with a new grid -connected capacity of about 500 mW.
