Masdar, a renewable energy company headquartered in Abu Dhabi, has acquired Arlington Energy, a battery energy storage system (BESS) developer headquartered in the UK.
This acquisition will enable Masdar to expand its influence in the UK and European renewable energy markets, support the net zero emission goals of these countries, and also help Masdar's offshore wind power and renewable energy investment strategy.
In addition to this acquisition, Masdar also expressed its intention to increase investment in offshore wind power and other renewable energy projects in new and existing markets, including the United Kingdom.
