On December 9, the European Commission formally established the European Solar Photovoltaic Industry Alliance to promote investment in the EU's solar manufacturing industry.
The alliance was sponsored by the industry, research institutions, associations, and other related parties to support the goals of 30GW local manufacturing capabilities on the entire solar photovoltaic value chain by 2025.
The new alliance will mobilize resources for European solar photovoltaic manufacturing projects, make full use of all existing and new capacity, expand European domestic production capacity, and enable the European photovoltaic industry chain links (polycrystalline silicon ingots, silicon wafers, batteries, components), etc. The commitment manufacturing capacity reaches 30GW.
The trading institution Solarpower EUROPE (SPE) said that at the current installation speed, the 30GW annual soil manufacturing capacity will meet the demand for 75%of European photovoltaic components in Europe.
This goal will also promote the development of the industry. In the manufacturing department, it can create more than 100,000 employment opportunities and support about 1 million work focusing on the installation and maintenance of solar components.
One of the founders of the European Solar Initiative, and the newly launched Alliance Basic Innovation Group Eit Innonergy, has been appointed as the EU Solar Photovoltaic Industry Alliance Secretariat, and has become the guidance committee of the Alliance with the SPE and the European Solar Manufacturing Commission.
According to the alliance, it will implement a seven -point strategic action plan:
-Carding the bottleneck of expanding the scale of manufacturing and providing suggestions
-In the promotion of financing channels, including the establishment of a commercialization of solar photovoltaic manufacturing
-Su an cooperation framework for the development and absorption
-Doeting international partnership and elastic global supply chain
-In support solar photovoltaic research and innovation
-The measures to promote cyclic and sustainable measures
-The skilled talent team who explores and cultivate photovoltaic manufacturing
On the basis of these seven action plans, the league's priority will be to mobilize private and public funds for internal solar photovoltaic manufacturing projects, thereby expanding production capacity, ensuring a sustainable fair competition environment and stimulating the demand for sustainable photovoltaic products. The alliance will also implement the ecological design requirements of photovoltaic systems and products and start a college to explore the skills required by the manufacturing industry.
Building the EU's internal capacity will be the goal of achieving repower setting in this region -the key to the development of 320GW solar energy in 2025.
The European Commission launched the work of the alliance in October last year, and then launched an open appeal to personnel, research institutions, consumer associations, non -governmental organizations and other interests related to the solar photovoltaic industry. Gathering.
From the approval of the European Commission to the launch of the league today, many participants in the solar industry have called on the EU to accelerate the development of solar internal manufacturing ecosystems during the previous period, and take similar measures to the United States and India so far.
A few days before the European Solar Photovoltaic Industry Alliance launched, the International Energy Agency issued a report prediction that global solar photovoltaic capacity will be doubled between 2022-2027.
