India's photovoltaic power generation increased by 38%compared with 2021.

According to a survey report released by the investigation agency, India's photovoltaic power generation in 2022 was about 95.15 billion units (BU), an increase of 38%compared with 68.77BU in 2021.

Since 2018, India's photovoltaic power generation has continued to increase, and its growth is due to the rapid increase in installation capacity installed in photovoltaic systems installed in recent years.

In the fourth quarter of 2022, India's photovoltaic power generation was 24.91BU, an increase of 46%compared with 17.1BU in the fourth quarter of 2021, and an increase of 10%compared with 22.6BU in the third quarter of 2022.

According to the tracking data of the Indian Central Electric Power Administration, the Indian New Energy and Renewable Energy Department, and the Mercom's India photovoltaic project, as of the end of 2022, the capacity of renewable energy (including large hydropower projects) in India reached 166.9GW, which accounted for India 40.75%of the installed capacity of the overall energy facilities.

Among them, the installed capacity of the photovoltaic system accounted for 15%, accounting for 37%of the total renewable energy installation capacity, which was higher than 36.4%in the third quarter of 2022.

As of August 2022, India has installed a 50GW public business scale photovoltaic system, and by the end of the year, the goal of installing the 60GW photovoltaic system in 2022 was completed. However, India's roof photovoltaic installation volume is still insufficient. As of the end of September 2022, only 8.3GW was installed, and the target in 2022 was 40GW.

Rajast Tanzhan is the state with the largest number of photovoltaic projects in India's installation of public utilities. By the end of 2022, the installation capacity of the cumulative installation of the photovoltaic system was about 15GW, accounting for about 29%of the total installation capacity of the large -scale photovoltaic system in India. The state is also the first state of the first -scale photovoltaic system in India with a capacity of a large -scale photovoltaic system.
