The Iranian Renewable Energy Organization and the Electricity Efficiency Organization have launched a solar tender with a total installed capacity of 4 million kilowatts.
It is understood that the tender is part of a renewable energy development plan recently announced by the Iranian Ministry of Energy, which proposes to add 10 million kilowatts of renewable energy power capacity in the next four years.
Data from the International Renewable Energy Agency shows that currently, Iran's installed renewable energy capacity is about 1 million kilowatts, of which solar installed capacity is about 456,000 kilowatts. In 2021, Iran will add about 26,000 kilowatts of installed solar capacity.
