On September 20, Japanese construction company Obayashi and auto parts supplier Denso have begun testing road surfaces to power electric vehicles, with the goal of having the technology available by 2025.
Inside the Obayashi-gumi Tokyo Research Center, a small electric car is reported to be able to travel continuously at 15 kilometers per hour on roads embedded with uninterrupted coils.
