Magnix, headquartered in Evatt, plans to develop hydrogen fuel cells to supplement battery power and hybrid power systems.
The company is developing a hydrogen system for its power promotion device (EPU). The Magnix EPU is the only power promotion technology for flight testing from 350kW to Muwa grade, which is not limited by electrons, which means that they can be powered by any power supply.
Like batteries, hydrogen generates zero carbon emissions and will reduce the impact of the aviation industry on the environment. Hydrogen has high energy density and can provide power for 50 to 90 passengers.
By providing this technology with battery power and hybrid power systems, Magnix will be able to provide a wider power solution for operators who have transitioned to carbon -free fleets. These systems will be more suitable for providing motivation for small aircraft.
