For nickel-metal hydride batteries with a strong memory effect, this is a necessary job, but for lithium-ion batteries, this cycle is too frequent. Li-ion batteries theoretically eliminate the memory effect, and even if there is, it has already been to a large extent. It reduces the negligible degree. If you use the battery very frequently, then you have to discharge the battery to a relatively low level (about 10~15%) and then recharge it, but if it is discharged to the point that even the machine cannot be turned on (0~1) %), it belongs to the deep discharge of the lithium-ion battery which has great damage. Generally speaking, it is enough to do such an operation every 2 months. If you rarely use batteries, you only need to do this operation once every 3 months.
