Researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology pointed out that another challenge is to combine high charging capacity with "long cycle life of capacitors" during the battery design process.
As a wide range of electrochemical equipment, lithium -ion batteries have high charging capacity, but there are insufficient charging time. Researchers tried to add a large amount of low -cost organic materials to replace lithium ion batteries. It was found that the conductivity of the battery was reduced. As for other modular design methods, the combination of lithium -ion batteries and capacitors in specific devices is too complicated and expensive.
The team proposes a combination of organic material that can be used for battery positive electrodes (storage of lithium electrodes in the battery discharge process). Someone used to try organic materials, but it was not successful because these materials were dissolved in the electrolyte of the battery.
This organic material can store the charge of 310 mAh, which is about twice the current positive pole capacity of lithium -ion batteries. With these materials, the charging time of the battery can be shortened to 33 seconds.
Researchers said that using rich magnesium or sodium ions, not lithium with limited supply, can produce optimization effects lower.
