Nevs accounted for nearly 95 percent of sales in November. Norway is on track to be all-electric by 2025

According to media reports, Norway's new-energy vehicle sales accounted for 94.9% of the total car sales in November 2021, and it is expected to achieve the goal of pure electric vehicles by 2025 at the earliest.

Only 356 gasoline cars were sold in Norway in November, while 416 diesel cars did better, while 11,274 pure electric cars (73.8%) and 3,288 plug-in hybrids (21.1%) were sold.

Among the pure electric vehicles sold, Tesla undoubtedly became the biggest winner, with 1,013 Model Y units sold and 771 Model 3 units sold, accounting for 15.8% of the total sales of pure electric vehicles in the month.

It was followed by the Volkswagen ID.4, which sold 725 units, and the Audi Q4 E-tron, which is not yet available in China, ranked fourth with 661 units.

Earlier, many European countries had set energy efficiency and emission reduction targets, aiming to sell all new energy vehicles between 2030 and 2035, but now the high-latitude and cold northern Europe is leading the way.

Norway's new-energy vehicle sales are expected to hit a new high in December, a step closer to becoming all-electric by 2025, when the country will become the first in the world to sell all-electric vehicles.
