Rated parameters of 12V lead-acid battery in use

1. Nominal capacity-

Nominal capacity refers to the amount of electricity released by the battery under the specified discharge requirements (discharge current, discharge time, discharge termination voltage, temperature, electrolyte density and electrolyte height).

The nominal capacity is generally indicated by the manufacturer.

Note: In the publications published by IEC, lead-acid batteries often use the following standards,

2. Nominal voltage-

The nominal voltage of the battery cells is the stated value.

Note: The nominal voltage of different types of batteries is different, such as,

--- Lead-acid battery 2.0V

---lifepo4 battery 3.2V

---NiCd battery 1.2V

---Li-ion battery 3.7V

---Ni-Zn battery 1.5V

The nominal voltage of the battery pack refers to the sum of the nominal voltage values of the individual cells connected in series.

3. Nominal current-

The nominal current of the battery refers to the current value when working at the nominal capacity.

4. Nominal discharge time-

The nominal discharge time is the discharge time corresponding to the nominal capacity.

5. Nominal temperature-

The nominal temperature of the battery is the temperature of the electrolyte or container, which is related to the type of battery and is determined by the nominal capacity of the battery.

NOTE: Container temperature refers to VRLA batteries.

6. The nominal density of the electrolyte (lead-acid battery: the density of the nominal acid-)
