SoftBank Robotics, a subsidiary of Japan's SoftBank Group, has cooperated with Chinese food delivery robot company Shanghai Optima Intelligent Technology to expand into the European and American markets.
The company has China's largest market share in food delivery robots. SoftBank Robotics will provide Optima robots to restaurants on both long-term and short-term leases, and provide advice on the operational efficiency of client companies. Singapore's high-end Chinese restaurant enterprises have decided to introduce.
As for the target of expanding the market, SoftBank envisages high labor costs and huge demand for robots in developed countries. The data of customer enterprises is managed by SoftBank robot on the independent cloud platform.
Some say that the introduction of robots in service industries such as restaurants may affect service quality, but Kenichi Yoshida, head of SoftBank's robotics business promotion division, said that the image of robots as safe for consumers is being strengthened as people's awareness has changed amid the pandemic.
