Recently, Stellandis stated that by 2030, the company will need four electric vehicle battery factories in North America.
Stellandis has announced two battery joint ventures, located in Indiana and Canada, USA, and plans to be put into production in 2025. But the company also needs to build two more factories in the United States, Canada or Mexico.
Indiana Battery Factory is a joint venture formed by Stellandis and Samsung, South Korea, and Canadian battery factories will cooperate with South Korea's LG new energy. It is expected to announce the third battery factory before the second quarter of next year.
Stellandis has decided to double the annual output of its electric trucks in the past two weeks to more than 200,000 vehicles. Amazon is one of the customers of this electric truck.
