1、Battery capacity
The capacity of UPS battery is determined by the amount of active material in the battery, which is usually expressed in ampere-hours Ah or milliampere-hours mAh. For example, the nominal capacity of 250Ah (10hr, 1.80V/monoblock, 25℃) refers to the capacity discharged at 25℃ for 10 hours with a current of 25A, so that the individual battery voltage drops to 1.80V.
2、Rated voltage
UPS battery potential difference between the positive and negative poles is called the rated voltage of the battery. Common lead-acid battery voltage rating is 2V, 6V, 12V three, a single lead-acid battery is 2V, 12V battery is made of six single battery series.
3、Maximum charge and discharge current
UPS lead-acid battery is bi-directional, there are two states, charging and discharging, this current are limited, different batteries, the maximum charge and discharge current is not the same. Battery charging current is generally expressed as a multiple of the battery capacity C. For example, if the battery capacity C = 100Ah, the charging current is 0.15C, it is 0.15 × 100 = 15A.
4, depth of discharge and cycle life
In the process of UPS battery use, the battery discharge capacity as a percentage of its rated capacity is called the depth of discharge. The depth of discharge has a deep relationship with the battery life, the deeper the depth of discharge, the shorter the charge life of the UPS battery through a charge and discharge, known as a cycle. Under certain discharge conditions, the battery works to a certain capacity before the specified value, the number of cycles the UPS battery can withstand, known as the cycle life.
UPS battery use cycle times are different, the traditional fixed lead-acid batteries about 500 ~ 600 times; starting lead-acid batteries about 300 ~ 500 times; valve-regulated sealed lead-acid battery cycle life of 1000 ~ 1200 times. The deeper the daily discharge depth of the battery for long-term operation, the shorter the battery life; the shallower the discharge depth, the longer the battery life.
5、Energy of the battery
The energy of the battery refers to the electrical energy that can be given by the battery under a certain discharge system, usually expressed in watt hours (Wh). Battery energy is divided into theoretical energy and actual energy. UPS battery energy is also related to the temperature, the lower the temperature, the lower the battery activity, the lower the capacity. For example, at minus 20 degrees, the capacity is 60%, at zero degrees, the capacity is 82%, and at 40 degrees, the capacity is 106%.
