It is reported that Tesla recently discussed plans to seek a battery factory with CATL in the United States. Tesla hopes to reach a similar transaction with Ford Motors last month.
Ford announced last month to build a battery factory with Catl's plan to build a battery factory in Michigan. Ford will owns and operate the factory and obtain technical permission from CATL.
Tesla is considering building a battery factory in Texas to supply its local electric vehicle assembly plants, but the site is not yet determined. Like Ford's transaction structure, Tesla will have this factory, and obtain technical permits from Catl.
