A pediatric surgical team at the Union Hospital affiliated to Huazhong University of Science and Technology recently completed the first robotic thoracoscopic esophageal atresia in China. Doctors through clinical judgment and angiographic examination to determine the infant's course of esophageal atresia TYPE I. The surgery involves drilling holes in Cheng's chest, using a Da Vinci robot that is minimally invasive. The operation was successful and the one-month-old is recovering well.
