The Netherlands will add 3.3GW solar in 2022

According to data from the state -owned institution RVO, the Dutch solar installed capacity can reach 17.6 GW by the end of the year, which can meet at least 12%of the power demand in the country.


The Netherlands is expected to increase the capacity of new photovoltaic power generation in 2022, which is enough to make the total solar installed capacity of 17.6 GW.


The new data released by the Dutch State Rijksdienst Voor WEDERNEDERLAND (RVO) agency shows that if the above numbers are confirmed by the actual deployment, all photovoltaic systems installed can cover more than 12%of power demand. RVO raised multiple examples that have not been deployed in the solar project. For example, because the roof building was found to be not suitable for installing solar components, or because of the congestion of the grid, the new project was not immediately connected.


In addition, the RVO report stated that the capacity of the photovoltaic installation was 14.4 GW at the end of 2021, and solar energy accounted for about 9.3%of the total power demand. Most of the capacity -8.6 GW came from a system of more than 15 kW, and the remaining 5.8 GW came from smaller devices.


The agency also said that about 3.5 GW new photovoltaic devices in the Netherlands were connected to the grid in 2021, which was about 200 mW higher than the data released by the Dutch Central Statistics Bureau in March. At that time, the estimated newly installed solar capacity was about 3.3 GW.


The SDE ++ plan for large -scale renewable energy is still the main driving force for the country's planning and signing of photovoltaic capacity.


A recent report by the Dutch Applied Science Research Organization (TNO) states that by 2050, the photovoltaic power generation in the Netherlands is expected to reach 132 GW.
