What are the functions to be achieved by the industrial robot control system?

Generally speaking, industrial robots consist of three major parts and six subsystems, the three major parts being the mechanical part, the sensing part, and the control part; the six subsystems can be divided into mechanical structure system, drive system, sensing system, robot-environment interaction system, human-machine interaction system and control system.

Compared with traditional industrial equipment, industrial robots have numerous advantages, such as robots with ease of use, high level of intelligence, high productivity and safety, easy management, and significant economic benefits, making them able to operate in high-risk environments.

So what are the functions that industrial robot control systems are designed to achieve?

The robot control system is an important part of the robot and is used for the control of the operator to complete specific work tasks, and its basic functions are as follows.

1、Memory function: store the operation sequence, motion path, motion mode, motion speed and information related to the production process.

2、Teaching function: offline programming, online teaching, indirect teaching. Online teaching includes teaching boxes and guiding teaching.

3、Linking function with peripheral devices: input and output interface, communication interface, network interface, synchronization interface.

4、Coordinate setting function: there are four kinds of coordinate systems: joint, absolute, tool and user-defined.

5、Human-machine interface: Demonstration box, operation panel, display.

6、Sensor interface: position detection, vision, haptics, force sensing, etc.

7、Position servo function: robot multi-axis linkage, motion control, speed and acceleration control, dynamic compensation, etc.

8、Fault diagnosis and safety protection functions: system status monitoring during operation, safety protection in a fault state, and fault self-diagnosis.

Industrial robots are multi-joint manipulators or multi-degree of freedom machine devices widely used in industrial fields, with a certain degree of automaticity, and can rely on their own power energy and control capabilities to achieve a variety of industrial processing and manufacturing functions. Industrial robots are widely used in various industrial fields such as electronics, logistics, and the chemical industry.
