Since the development of the Beidou satellite navigation system in China, our company has also developed the battery for the handheld device of the Beidou satellite navigation system. The navigation battery is suitable for vehicle use and has been introduced to the market. Our navigator battery solution uses mature lithium iron phosphate battery technology, and the battery has strong long-lasting battery life. Compared with ordinary GPS lithium batteries used in China, it has the characteristics of high capacity, stable charge and discharge performance, good cycle life, good high and low-temperature performance, and strong shock resistance.
Design requirements:
1. Beidou satellite navigator battery design requirements:
According to product specifications and customer requirements, the Beidou satellite navigator battery is designed to be matched with the host, and high-standard safety performance, good charge, and discharge performance, and outstanding long-term use reliability functions are integrated into the solution.
2. Beidou satellite navigator battery design plan:
1) Protection Board (PCM): It is mainly a protection circuit designed for rechargeable high-capacity battery packs, which can provide protection functions such as overcharge, over-discharge, short circuit, overcurrent, and overtemperature for lithium batteries.
2) Protection IC (Protection IC): The main protection function chip of the design scheme. The online function of the battery cell is constantly monitored so that the battery cell can work in a safe, stable, and efficient range. The TI BQ3060 smart chip has custom-programmed protection parameters (integrated with internal FAE) to communicate with the navigator host, providing the host with an accurate power display, temperature display, battery health indicator, and battery charging and discharging status indicator.
3) Overcurrent protection sheet (FUSE): Mainly designed for secondary protection function. The FUSE fuse has an overcurrent protection function. The FUSE in the battery product can prevent the occurrence of unsafe high-current charging and discharge of the battery.
4) Lithium battery: 18650/2150mAh/7.2V lithium iron phosphate battery
5) Field-effect tube (MOSFET): MOSFET tube, which acts as a switch in the protection circuit.
6) Battery pack packaging: The outer packaging can be made according to customer needs.
7) Seismic performance: The interior of the battery is filled with epoxy resin or neutral silica gel, which has achieved super seismic performance.
