Construction has begun on Scotland's largest transmission-side battery storage project, helping Scotland achieve its net zero target.
The battery storage project, which will be the largest battery storage project in Scotland when commissioned, has already begun construction and is scheduled to be commissioned by the end of this year.
The company is partnering with utility giant Centrica as a "path-to-market" supplier on a long-term floor contract that will allow British Gas owners to optimise batteries and open access to various revenue streams.
Over the next 15 years, the site is expected to remove 450,000 tons of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, according to the company.
