Australian independent generator Renu Energy has signed an agreement with developers with 3.5 GW to build solar+energy storage facilities in Indonesia, which will jointly explore the potential of large -scale production of green hydrogen for Southeast Asia and other regions.
The Australian company Renu Energy and its wholly -owned subsidiary Countrywide Hydrogen have already been with Anantara Energy -that is, Singapore ’s independent generator QUANTUM POWER Asia and German solar developer IB VOGT -Signing Memored Memorandum (MOU), jointly studied in Indonesia. The feasibility of large green hydrogen factory. The plan will use a 10 -mW electrolytic groove, which is powered by solar facilities with at least 100 MW.
According to the terms of a non -binding agreement, Countrywide and Anantara will jointly study the feasibility of building a solar green hydrogen plant in Liao Na Islands on the south side of Singapore.
The two parties will conduct concepts and feasibility studies on an initial production capacity of 10 mW and can produce about 1,650 tons of green hydrogen per year. Once the feasibility study is officially passed, Anantara will develop, invest and operate at least 100 mW solar energy to provide clean energy for the facility.
If the feasibility study is progressing smoothly, it is expected that this green hydrogen -making facility will complete financing in 2024 and the production of green hydrogen in 2025.
Anantara promised to invest nearly $ 6 billion to develop a 3.5 GW solar energy and energy storage facilities in Liaonian Province. This joint venture has obtained more than 600 hectares of land and is obtaining permission and financing commitments to develop a 3.5 GW solar power plant. The energy storage capacity of the plant is as high as 12 GWh.
The photovoltaic power plant is expected to produce 4 TWH clean energy each year to provide basic load clean energy for local residents and industries. Anantara also plans to clean energy to Singapore through submarine cables.
