On November 22, the world's largest "artificial solar" international thermal nuclear fusion experimental heap (ITER) core component enhanced the first wall of the heat load to achieve significant progress, and completed the first manufacturing. In addition, its core indicators are significantly better than design requirements and have batch manufacturing conditions. This marks China's key technologies to break through the "ITER enhanced thermal load first wall" and achieve this core technology continuously leading.
"The first manufacturing of the first wall of the thermal load" is described as the ITER "firewall". It can directly contact the core of the core of 100 million degrees of high -temperature plasma, which is the most critical core component of ITER. China Nuclear Group Nuclear Industry Southwest Physics Research Institute undertakes ITER to enhance the development of the first -size prototype of the first wall of the heat load. After successfully preparing the heat load finger components successfully, it cooperates with Guizhou Aerospace Xinli Technology Co., Ltd. to solve the series of technical problems. Successfully complete the welding assembly of the part.
The Chinese team has completed the first manufacturing of the international team to achieve substantial engineering breakthroughs for the research and development of ITER key components, and solemnly fulfills its international commitment. At the same time, the implementation of the ITER task steadily will laid a solid foundation for the next step in the construction of a fusion engineering test and commercial power plant.
At present, the first wall of the enhanced thermal load will be shipped to the Southwest Physics Research Institute of Leshan City Nuclear Industry in Leshan City, Sichuan Province. After subsequent delivery, it will be sent to the ITER headquarters in France.
It is reported that ITER is one of the world's largest and most influential international scientific research cooperation projects. It was jointly built by seven parties such as China, the United States, Russia, and the European Union. China has undertaken about 9%of them. This giant project is building the world's largest experimental Toccamak nuclear fusion reactor, located in Cadalasher, southern France, and its mission is to show the feasibility of fusion power generation. Nuclear fusion can produce huge energy. If humans have mastered nuclear fusion energy sources, they will have a clean energy that can be used for 100 million years.
