CTP technology is a technology that directly integrates the cells into the battery pack, which simplifies the manufacturing process and saves costs while improving the energy density of the battery pack system. The flexibility of Ford's electric vehicle architecture can efficiently integrate CATL's CTP technology to rapidly increase production capacity and meet customer needs.
Both parties will leverage their respective strengths to jointly explore new business opportunities on a global scale. In addition to providing Ford with lithium iron phosphate batteries based on CTP technology, CATL will also actively cooperate with Ford in other battery technologies.
