According to sueddeutsche Zeitung on December 14. According to data released by the International Federation of Robotics (IFR), The German manufacturing industry had the highest density of robots in Europe in 2020, with a record 371 robots per 10,000 workers. Sweden ranks second in Europe with 289 robots. Germany ranks fourth in global comparisons, behind South Korea, Singapore and Japan.

Milton Gehry, IFR president, says robot density is a very important indicator of how automation varies across economies. The UK was the only G7 country to fall below the global average (126) and ranked 24th in the world for robot density at 101.
Globally, robot density has almost doubled in the past five years, from 66 to 126 units per 10,000 workers in 2015. China is the most dynamic. Robot density in the world's second-largest economy jumped from 49 in 2015 to 246 in 2020, ranking ninth globally, thanks to a sharp increase in robot installations.
Global sales of new industrial robots edged up 0.5 percent in 2020 despite the COVID-19 pandemic. As ifR announced in October, there are a record three million industrial robots in factories around the world.
