DESERT Quartzite was approved to build a 300MW/600MWH solar energy storage project in California

Desert Quartzite said it plans to invest $ 1 billion in a solar project with a public utilization scale in California. The facility is expected to be put into commercial operation in December 2024.

The U.S. Land Administration (BLM) has approved Desert Quartzite to build a solar project near Bryce, California. French Power Corporation's EDF Renewables North America will be responsible for developing 300 MW solar energy plus 600 MWH energy storage capacity.

Desert Quartzite's solar project plans to cost $ 1 billion, which will provide clean energy for approximately 120,000 households. The facility is expected to create more than 900 construction positions and be put into commercial operations from December 2024.

Once it is completed, the project is likely to be among the top ten public utilization solar projects developed in the project developed between 2024 and 2025. The total capacity of these projects ranges from 300 mW to 690 mW.

DESERT Quartzite plans to use the 650 -watt (DC) Bihiku7 double -sided single -crystal PERC battery board, SMA 4.2 MW inverter, Nextracker horizontal single -axis of photovoltaic (PV) tracker and 150 MW// 150 MW/ 600 MWH battery system.
