Do you know these three tidbits about PV?

1, the higher the temperature, the higher the power generation?

Many friends have a preconceived idea that photovoltaic well, not by the sun to generate electricity, that in July and August every year to install photovoltaic, power generation must be great!

In fact, this is not the case! (High temperature ≠ good light)

Summer high temperature is not equal to high power station, high temperature, strong humidity ... but will give the power station to increase the burden, bringing many adverse effects. As we all know, photovoltaic power generation is directly proportional to the time of light and light intensity.

But light is only one of the factors that cause the temperature to rise, and is not a direct factor. Therefore, we cannot equate high temperature with good sunlight, nor can we say that the higher the temperature, the higher the power generation capacity of PV power plant.

In fact, the most suitable temperature in about 24 degrees, the temperature is not much impact on the photovoltaic panels, in the photovoltaic system, photovoltaic formation is afraid of heat, the same inverter is also afraid of heat, if the temperature is too high will reduce the efficiency of the inverter, so when installing the inverter is usually installed in a well ventilated, no direct sunlight.

2、How about the safety of residential photovoltaic, can cope with lightning, hail, leakage?

Of course it can!

First of all, DC bus box, inverter and other equipment lines have lightning protection, overload protection function. When lightning strikes, leakage and other abnormal voltages occur, they will automatically shut down and disconnect, so there is no safety problem. Moreover, all metal frames and brackets on the roof are grounded to ensure safety in thunderstorms. Secondly, the surface of our PV modules are all made of super impact resistant tempered glass, which have been tested harshly (high temperature and high humidity) when passing EU certification, and it is difficult for the general climate to hurt the PV panels.

3、If there is dust or garbage on the surface of the system, does it have any effect on the power generation?

The impact is very small, because the PV system is related to the irradiance of the sun, not obvious shadows will not cause significant impact on the system power generation. Moreover, the glass of solar modules has a self-cleaning function, i.e. on rainy days, rainwater can wash away the dirt on the module surface. Therefore, the operation and maintenance costs of PV systems are very limited
