France added 601MW of photovoltaic installed capacity in the first quarter

Recently, according to a report from the French Ministry of Ecological Transformation, approximately 601MW of new photovoltaic installation projects were connected to the grid in France from January to March this year. As of the end of March, France's cumulative photovoltaic installed capacity has reached 17.15GW.

As of the end of March 2023, France's cumulative photovoltaic installed capacity has reached 17.15 gigawatts. In the first quarter of this year, New Aquitaine, Auvergne Rhone Alps, Provence Alps French Riviera and the Greater East accounted for 63% of all new grid connected capacity. Several major regions have the highest installed capacity in France, and as of the end of March, these regions accounted for over 73% of France's cumulative electricity generation.
