According to data from Bundesnetzagentur, Germany added more than 2.6GW in the first three months of this year.
In the first quarter of 2023, Germany's new solar photovoltaic project was nearly 3GW, and Germany's photovoltaic installed capacity had exceeded 70GW. The goal of Germany is the installed capacity of 215GW by 2030.
Germany also raised this goal of 15GW last year, which means that the average annual installation of Germany needs to reach 22GW, which is out of reach. Last year, Germany's new photovoltaic capacity was 7.9GW.
Bavaria was the area with the largest solar power generation in the first quarter of 2023, close to 600MW, followed by North Rhine-WestPhalia (398MW) and Baden-WuertTemberg (381MW).
As of the total installed capacity as of the end of March 2023, Bavaria is still leading. Its solar power generation exceeds 19.2GW, which is more than doubled than Baden-WuertTemberg 8.7GW.
